Road Safety
In 2006 The Institute of Advanced Motorists celebrated their first 50 years of promoting Advanced Driving and Road Safety. The IAM is the premier road safety organisation in the U.K. dedicated to advancing driving standards.
Local Groups
The organisation provides guidance to motorists seeking to develop their driving skills through Local Affiliated Groups and organises advanced driving tests conducted by independent testers.
Ayr & District
Advanced Motorists is one of over 200 Affiliated Local Groups in the UK.
Volunteers
All our members are volunteers and give their time and knowledge freely to help others become advanced motorists. Our advisors are known as Observers and have undertaken training to enable them to give motoring advice.
